ABOUT WEWAM

Women Empowered for Work And Mothering -WEWAM – is a non-profit organisation set up to support working mothers and stay-home mothers who desire to work, so that they can excel at work and in mothering, thus enjoying work-life success.

WEWAM is set up with the following objectives:

  1. To provide training, programmes and other services to equip working women to better perform their roles at work and in mothering.
  2. To provide programmes such as training for working mothers in disadvantaged situations.
  3. To provide opportunities for women to give support to working mothers in need.

WEWAM is honoured to be accepted as a member of the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations. WEWAM’s signature programmes such as “Women Empowerment Forum”, “Flexignition-beyond flexibility” and “Empowerment for Work-Life Success” have been supported by MSF, the Ministry for Social and Family Development, since 2011.

WEWAM Limited is managed by a Board of Directors led by the Founder and President Ms Yeo Miu Ean.

About WEWAM President, Ms Yeo Miu Ean

Ms Yeo Miu Ean is an accomplished work-life champion. She is currently the Chief Success Officer of Charistal Pte Ltd, a company providing consultancy, training and coaching, specialising in work-life matters and flexible work arrangements. Most recently, she was the Director of Employer Alliance (EA), a network of corporations committed to improving work-life integration among corporations. During the 3 years at EA, she had shared the benefits of work-life strategy and their contribution to business results with audiences from hundreds of companies. Audiences have benefited from her useful tips on overcoming common challenges to achieve successful work-life implementation. Prior to joining EA, Ean has implemented effective HR policies and programmes to enable individuals to return to the workforce as well as to retain key talent. Ean is also a trained Family Life Educator and coach, specialising in programmes on personal work-life effectiveness and parenting. She hopes to inspire mothers to create a future in keeping with their own visions and goals for various aspects of their work-life.

About WEWAM Director, Ms Pauline Loh

Ms Pauline Loh is a stay-home mum with three children aged 14, 12 and 6. She is an award-winning writer who works from home. In her belief that she needs to be home for her children, she has experimented with full-time, part-time, contract and different flexible work arrangements according to the seasons her family goes through. She has a passion to help other women see that they too can fulfil their dreams to nurture their children and achieve their personal goals.
